what is befriends?
Befriends is a companionship service provided by Jubilee Church London. The aim of the service is to provide a one to one friendship to older people in the local community who may be or are at risk of suffering from loneliness.
how does it work?
Volunteers visit befriend residents once a week for between 30 minutes and up to an 1 hour, at care homes located in; Edmonton, Enfield Town, Barnet and Woodbury Manor.
Spending time with them, talking and listening to them, going for walks around the premises and providing them with love and friendship.

Want to volunteer?
We will facilitate the DBS procedure for all our volunteers, as well as providing training and support in the initial stages.
Our only expectation is that you will be able to commit to visits on a weekly basis and maintain communication with the residential home.
